On select evenings in Vail Village, guests are invited to watch skiers dressed in traditional 10th Mountain Division Ski Trooper uniforms perform a Torchlight Ski Down to the base of Gondola One, followed by a parade of military veterans, also in traditional uniform, marching from Gondola One down Bridge Street, across the Covered Bridge and finishing at the 10th Mountain statue.
The side of Vail Mountain will be illuminated with the 10th Mountain Division logo, and the celebration will feature a film on the history and legacy of Vail projected at the base of Gondola One and animated with fireworks. Vail’s Colorado Snowsports Museum will stay open after the parade for guests to visit and learn about Colorado’s ski history through the new 10th Mountain Division exhibit– the most comprehensive of its kind in the world.

Telluride Gay Ski Week was founded in 2002. Since then, it has been a week to look forward to for participants and locals alike. When director Rosie Cusack took over the reins of Telluride Gay Ski Week in 2016, she was sure to create a carefully orchestrated schedule of entertainment, which ups the fun: opening-day party, daily après ski, pool parties, late-night lounge happenings, with events extending well into the morning hours, including the signature White Party and much more. Historically, Telluride Gay Ski Week has coincided with Telluride Aids Benefit fashion show gala, an event run by TAB who is “dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and generating financial support for prevention programs and client care.” Telluride Gay Ski Week continues to grow and expand, and we encourage you to come check it out for yourself if you haven’t already!
Telluride Gay Ski Week attendees can expect a week full of skiing and snowboarding, Après-Ski social hours, live music, pool party, drag brunch and more with plenty of time to explore the world class Telluride Ski Resort has to offer. For those new to the terrain or looking to make some friends while making some turns, guided ski-groups will be available.

WinterWonderGrass Festival will return to Steamboat Resort February 28 – March 2, 2025! Since 2013, WinterWonderGrass has been a grassroots mountainside gathering celebrating all things natural: bluegrass, roots & craft brew! This year, WinterWonderGrass Festival keeps that spirit alive bringing together authentic bluegrass music and Colorado craft beer for one of the best music festivals of the season. The festival features over 20 Colorado craft breweries with complimentary beer tasting from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and more than 25 bands during this three day event.
Each year WinterWonderGrass supports local non-profits – with a focus on environmental protection, sustainability, musical education, community initiatives, and disaster relief. One dollar for every ticket sold is donated to local non-profits. The festival boasts a strong sustainability program diverting over 85% of festival waste from landfills. Also, a commemorative festival mug is included with each three-day festival ticket – and ZERO single-use plastics are used on-site.
